What's New

I had a great vacation in beautiful California a couple weeks ago. When I got home, I picked up my crochet hook, but then got distracted...

I have a new toy, sure didn't need it, not like I don't have enough to keep me busy with patterns, knitting and the holidays quickly approaching, but just couldn't resist any longer. This absolutely proves I am a fiber fanatic! Spinner, knitter, crocheter, pattern designer and now...weaver.

My new toy: 32" Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom. Still in learning mode. Loving it though. Currently taking Deborah Jarchow's Crafty Class. It's amazing what I'll go through to weave a beautiful dish towel.

In between weaving (or learning to weave, mostly warping and re-warping my loom), I'm also finishing up a new pattern. Hoping I'll be able to show you the finished product soon.

New Little Teddy Bear

Some of you have asked for smaller toys and stitched/embroidered eyes instead of safety eyes.

I'm thrilled to introduce the first pattern in my new "Little" collection. This cute ted uses worsted weight yarn and a size E (3.5 mm) hook. You will need to know basic crochet stitches and how to crochet in the round to finish your ted. Finished size approx, 6 and 1/2" from top of head to bottom of feet (not counting ears).

Pattern includes detailed instructions (in English) a materials list, photos and notes and tips to help you finish your bear.

Babies at Wool and Sheep Festival

I took these pictures back in September when we headed to Jefferson, Wisc. for the annual Wool and Sheep Festival. It was a fun day with good friends and lots of fiber. One of the best parts of the day was seeing all the new babies (and I mean new, this baby is just a few minutes old).

Needless to say, the buyer paid more then she needed to for something that she soon discovered was stolen.
