Doodles & Paint Brushes

Paper, pens and paint a few (more) of my favorite things. I burned my wrist two weeks ago on some boiling soup broth (because I'm clumsy) so holding my crochet projects was a little tough. Never fear though there is always something else to do around here (besides clean of course. I do clean, just not as much as I should).

Off to knit (something new in the works) after a long day of photo taking and Etsy listings. Just added tons of new buttons, sequins and tags. Teri Loves is shaping up.

I'll be using lots more buttons in my 2015 crochet and knitting designs.  I've started adding them to Teri Loves my little Etsy craft supply shop and hope you love them as much as I do. What's New The Week of September 8th

The weather here has been beautiful and I've been crocheting up a storm. There's a new leaflet in the works and I can't wait to tell you more about it, but for now this is all I can show you. I'll be sure to give you more information as soon as I can.

How to get Instant PDF downloads from Etsy

A few of you have written so I thought it might be a good idea to post a little help info. here on the blog.

So your waiting and waiting for your Etsy email letting you know your downloads are ready.  You don't have to wait. Once your purchase is complete:

Click on "Your Account" in the top right hand corner of your Etsy page, then select "Purchases", look for your newest purchase (s) and next to instant downloads you will see a button that says, "Files ready to download" click on that and then you can download the PDF(s) directly to your computer. Don't forget to save it. I get so excited I print my patterns right away and forget to save them on my computer, but don't worry the download button will be in your purchase history if you need it again.

New Simply Cute Patterns

The month is flying by, but I finished sat down and finished two new patterns. I've been thinking about them all month, but with company and snow they just took a while to get finished.

I'm thrilled to introduce the sixth and seventh members of the "Simply Cute" pattern series.  A dog and cat of course. Can't have a series of sweet animals without them.

Needle Felting

Have you noticed more needle felting or is it just me. Maybe my rapidly growing addiction to wool and soft hand spun fibers has heightened my wool, felting senses. Tiny acorns, silly critters, detailed slippers, hats and miniature pedigree dogs flash across my Etsy pages. My head is swimming with ideas. Lucky for me, needle felting more in 2011 is on my resolution list.


Earlier this year, my friend and I opened, "The Wool Purl" on Etsy. A few of our creations found homes and made us smile, but we just weren't able to find all the time and inspiration we needed to accomplish everything we had hoped we would. My new calenders are filled with blank pages and fresh ideas, so I'm pulling out my felting needles (looking for thimbles) and getting started next week.

Wikipedia definition: Needle felting is a popular fibre arts craft conducted without the use of water. Special barbed felting needles that are used in industrial felting machines are used by the artist as a sculpting tool. Using a single needle or a small group of needles (2-5) in a hand-held tool, these needles are used to sculpt the wool fibre. The barbs catch the scales on the fibre and push them through the layers of wool, tangling them and binding them together, much like the wet felting process. Fine details can be achieved using this technique, and it is popular for 2D and 3D felted work.
